How does two-factor authentication in Ed Controls work?

With two-factor authentication (2FA), you ask the user to prove that they are the person they say they are.

Here's how it goes:

Sign into Ed Controls with your username and password;
In the next screen, you will be asked to enter a code;
You will receive a code sent to the mobile phone number you entered;
Enter the code at Ed Controls;
You can now use Ed Controls the way you are used to.

Please note: With two-factor authentication, it doesn't matter if you're logging into the web environment or the app. You have to enter the code for verification wherever you log in.
